Don’t Just Survive, THRIVE.

It is time to Recover Your Strength.

Survivors of violence and trauma know that anything can happen anywhere, anytime. This often creates fear and anxiety about one’s surroundings, people, and experiences, leaving survivors feeling removed from the world, with a lack of self-confidence. As first responders, in order to “go onto the next,” we push everything down until there isn’t any more room to hide.

With Survivor of the Fittest, we help survivors and first responders recover their strength by being FREE, focusing on physical and emotional well-being to help heal the soul and build confidence.

  • Fitness: Online fitness programs, nationwide group activities, events, and more.

  • Recovery: Topics from survivors, first responders, and experts about normalizing trauma, with resources and more.

  • Engagement: Discussions and outreach to help survivors and first responders understand they are not alone.

  • Exploration: All the fun stuff that reminds us we are alive - and that helps us remember that’s okay.

Our starter program includes our “Alive with Five” components:

  • Self-defense training and situational awareness

  • HIIT training and cardio

  • Strength training

  • Wellness (including yoga, nutrition, and more)

  • Community (partnership support groups, programs, speaker bureaus, and fellow survivors involved in connective events)

These five components help SURVIVORS become “SUR-THRIVERS,” beginning a healthy new direction and a greater connection with both themselves as a survivor and with the rest of the world. Battle-tested focuses on our first responders and military members as they walk where others fear to tread.

Partnership.

With experts in all areas of physical and mental wellness, we are grateful for our partner agencies supporting the work of Survivor of the Fittest. All our partners are committed to making a difference in the lives of survivors and the responders who serve them.
