Recover Strength Near You.

Lead.

It starts with a lead organization in your area that is willing to centralize Survivor or Battle-Tested referrals with confidentiality. This organization shall steward the program, identifying partners across their community and ensuring reasonable standardization. (Program foundation parameters supplied by Survivor of the Fittest.)

Partner.

Once leadership is in place, it’s time to identify your self-defense, fitness, and wellness partners. This is a good opportunity to involve law enforcement in a positive engagement capacity with survivors for self-defense. The program can have a single gym partner in a small community or numerous fitness partners in a larger community. Basic program recommendations will be provided in the Starter Program packet.

Build.

It all begins with the idea and the mission: Help survivors of trauma, violence, and abuse, and those responders who serve them, seek to recover their strength through physical and mental wellness. The basics include self-defense, fitness, strength, nutrition, yoga, community events, support, and survivors’ awareness through speakers’ bureaus. After that, the growth and expansion of the program is up to the needs of and availability in your community. Make the program your own.
